Transpersonal Somatic Therapy®

Your first TST session.

You can arrive curious, uncertain, or without the words for what you feel. There is no performance expected of you.

Find a practitioner ↗

Before you book

Ask your practitioner about session length, price, location, training, and what their work includes. Share any access needs or concerns about touch, positioning, or comfort. You can ask how TST fits alongside care you already receive.

You do not have to commit to a series. Decide with your practitioner whether a session is appropriate for you and confirm cancellation terms before booking.

Opening the session

You begin with a conversation about what brings you in and how you want to feel supported. You choose what to share. An intention can help, but “I feel stuck” or “I want to reconnect with myself” is enough to start.

Your practitioner discusses boundaries, touch, clothing, and possible practices with you before proceeding.

During the work

You may be invited to notice sensation, breathing, emotion, tension, stillness, or an impulse to move or express yourself. The session can include conversation, bodywork, breath, sound, energy work, or quiet rest. The mix depends on you and the practitioner’s scope.

You remain in choice. You can decline a practice, request less intensity, pause, or end the work. Touch is optional, and consent can change at any point.

Clothing, privacy, and draping

Wear soft, comfortable clothing. Some sessions remain clothed; others include professionally draped bodywork when agreed upon. Ask about options in advance. You do not need to accept touch or undress to prove openness to the work.

Do I have to relive something difficult?

No. You choose whether to discuss your history, and you do not need to recount details. A practitioner can help you attend to present sensations, boundaries, and resources. Crying, shaking, or another expressive response is not a requirement or a measure of success.

Closing and integration

The session includes time to settle, reflect on what you noticed, and discuss ways to carry the experience into daily life. Give yourself room afterward. Ask your practitioner what support and follow-up are available.

How long does it take, and what does it cost?

Rates and session formats vary by practitioner. For current Dallas details, visit the Dallas session guide and confirm availability and pricing with Aho Healing Arts before booking.

Choosing your practitioner

Explore the official directory. Ask about independent credentials, experience with your concerns, consent practices, and referral boundaries. Certification represents the TST pathway and ethical commitments; it does not replace a professional license.
